Hi!
I have a problem with sendmail. I am subscribed to several mailing lists, and some of the people there include their local domain names and other just have temporary name resolving problems. Currently I have a problem, couse I cannot access samba.org domain, so I cannot recieve any mail from their mailinglist. Is it possible, to tell sendmail not to check the domain names existance? If it si possible, hoe can it be done? I couldn't find anything in the manpage.
THX in advance!

I have a problem related to this, but at my end, it's the other way around. My servers tries to send mail to a host, which says my domain must resolve. My domain *does* resolve (from I-don't-know-how-many domains), but that system (for one reason or the other) doesn't recognize it. When I send mail to the same host from another box in another domain, it's okay, so I figured it had to be something in my configuration. I've tried to convince my isp they've got to search for the solution, but they refuse: 'everything checks out here' is the message. It looks like your system is pretty much the same as the host I'm trying to send mail to. Probably your system *is* configured correctly, but the others isn't, or the other way around, I'm not sure. I also have no clue where to look and where to look for. Maybe these problem rings a bell with someone. I have this very faint suspicion it has something to do with identd trying to reverse-lookup hos- and domain-names but for some reason can't. The continuous messages from popper reminds me of the errors.. Sorry I can't help you, but maybe someone else can..
