Is there a way to control the mouse pointer with the keyboard (arrow keys) ? I have an Acer Aspire One mini laptop and for some reason the touch pad does not work (I have a dualboot system, Windows and openSUSE).
Check on the keyboard - there is a Fn key combination to turn on (and off) the touchpad. You can also install gSynaptic (I think that is what it is called) and enable the touchpad there.
