[opensuse] Kindle for PC via WINE ?

Anyone had any luck getting "Kindle for PC" to run on OpenSuse via WINE ? There are several internet posts that reference a minor "tweak" to wine (essentially changing the winecfg to windows98 ) and "Kindle for PC" supposedly works fine. I've done the the winecfg tweak on both my OpenSuse 11.2 desktop and my Ubuntu laptop with similar results.
