I am using KDE 1.0 on my SuSE 6.0, which is running the 2.0.36 kernel. I have both glib5 and glib6 installed.

Hi, Jerry I have installed so5.0 from suse 6.0 CDs. But instead to use ./setup you should write "sosetup". Try it and reply me in case of unsuccessful attempt.

Of course, that's the first instruction in the install procedure. Not only did I try that I also switched to the directory that contains 'setup' and ran it, to no avail. I also added /tmp/sv001.tmp to my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and retried both sosetup and setup. No joy. I searched DejaNews and found many there who could not add SO5 while running KDE. I decided that I value KDE more than SO5. Thanks anyway.
