Does SuSE 7.3 or 8.0 come with its own pppoe client? If it does, is it still a good idea to use the client from Roaring Penguin?
Thanks
Yeah, it came with the pppoe, under the ppp in hte TCP sub menu. Is easy, you must to add in /etc/ppp/pap-secrest and /etc/ppp/chap-secrets and modify one file more and ready.
Thanks for the information. I went to Yast2 and noticed (for the first time!) the ADSL menu. It is set up to deliver pppoe, buit doesn't tell me to do anything to a file or add anything. Where do I "add in /etc/ppp/pap-secret and /etc/ppp/chap-secrets"? and which file do I modify (and how)? Thanks again -- dj tuchler dtuchler@earthlink.net
