Hello. I just upgraded from kernel 2.4.6 to kernel 2.4.9 with no patches and the same configuration file. I am also using the newest cdrtools ( 1.11a06 ). Everything was fine using 2.4.6, but now with 2.4.9, my hard drive can't keep up with the ripping process. I have the hard drive optimized using hdparm, and that same configuration has worked for me for 2 years. Now, suddenly, my Plextor 12/10/32S rips at 5.4X in order to keep up with the 8.03MB/sec bandwidth partition 7 allows (hdparm result). What can I do? Has anyone experienced this problem? -- noodlez: Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 0x3A1446A0
