[opensuse] copy of cups input data

Hello: I have a program I want to print from. Unfortunately I don't know how the program sends out the data to the printer, I only know that the data ends at CUPS and CUPS prints it out. Is it possible somehow to identify/make a copy of the data which is the input for CUPS (or exits from the program) so that I could analyze it? For example if it is text data or bitmap image data etc?
