I have tried on my own without success, please those gurus over there, help me! I installed Suse 8.0 and I am able to configure my sound card in KDE, I can hear the system sounds when max or min the windows, etc. I was able to play and listen cd music with xmms but not with kscd. Then I reboot the computer and now I am not able to listen again xmms at the same volume but only a very low soundlevel. when I increase the volume of my speakers. I have changed the sound levels of all different input or output channels with kmix, alsamix, with no success. wav sound is ok and sometimes too hard that distorts. Then I try to use alsaconf to reinstall the soundcard (following suggestions from the skb) of course deinstalling the previous setuop with yast2. I still cannot get a reasonable level output from the cd. I don?t know what else can do, what config files to edit, etc. Can someone give a hand? I apologize for my low english level, as I know some people don?t like it on this list. If they know spanish, then I can say it better. I still have problems with the segmentation fault after a halt, that nobody wanted to answer. Thanks Jorge de la Vega Mexico City. email:jvega@stat.umn.edu
