Hi everybody. I am having this problem: I use a custom /etc/init.d entry to add ip aliases over my NIC card. Script path is /etc/init.d/ipalias. I made sym links on relevant directories under /etc/init.d as follows: /etc/init.d/rc3.d/K17ipalias -> /etc/init.d/ipalias /etc/init.d/rc3.d/S06ipalias -> /etc/init.d/ipalias Same for runlevels 2 and 5. Everything works ok, since K and S links lies between network and route links. But every time the system runs SuSEconfig, either directly or after package updates with YaST or YaST2, it makes two entries en some runlevel directories: S01ipalias and K23 ipalias. That is, the first service to start and the last service to stop. Any comments about this behaviour? -- Linux user #186720 at Linux machine #82663 (ostias.dhs.org)
