you don't need kernel support for serial mice. Why not have standard serial port compiled in instaead of as module ? On Wednesday, March 15, 2000 2:19 PM, Crosby [SMTP:crosby@sec.sibnet.ro] wrote:
Hello all , I have a strange problem with SuSE 6.3. I've rebuilt a new kernel to fit my hardware. All works ok but the gpm demon not work properly. When I look at /proc/intrerrupts I see no intrerupts allocation for serial module. I kill the gpm demon and I rerun the serial script in /sbin/init.d. When I restart the gpm all works fine and the intrerupt apears as alocated for serial module. I solve this problem including in gpm start script another call of serial script but it's not a nice method. In the serial script I don't have made any modification. Another precisation : with the original SuSE 6.3 kernel ( with the same script's ) all works ok !!. In the configuration of kernel I've included the suport for general mouse. Have anybody some ideas ?
