You should ask on the factory list. There are a couple people at least there that have seriously discussed sysVinit support efforts.
---- What happened to that effort? That's sorta what I'm doing informally, pulling back in functionality from 11.3 or there abouts where I need to. The one that bothers me is this merging of udev & systemd. Is that happening in the udev group -- that needs to be split too.
