First thanks to whomever got the mini boot ISO to automatically load the repository without having to enter the URL... very nice. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Many times if you enable the remote repositories during a network install dependency checking on each package selection becomes "painfully slow" because the package manager must resolve dependencies between the default local install repos (NFS or FTP, whatever) and the online repos + update.
Many times I find myself just doing a basic local network install with no on-line repose and then coming back and adding packages later after I have disable the local repos. I have watched the screen for minutes between clicking one of the various packages and watching the green check appear. I feel your pain... -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
