I am using the Win2k vncviewer to connect to SuSE. I do not have the "limit to 8 bit for slow networks" box checked. However I'm only getting 256 colors anyway. The SuSE Xserver is running directly @ 32 bit, so I know it can handle it, and we have a 100 BT Network, so I'd like to have VNC running at at least 16 bit color, if possible, does anyone know what I need to do to do to get it that way? Is it a viewer problem, or a server problem?
Xvnc (X-based VNC server) issue. According to http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/xvnc.html, "-display" option specifies the pixel depth in bits of the desktop to be created. For example: vncserver -depth 32 -- Yousuke Inagaki yi@theochem.sapporo-u.ac.jp http://www.theochem.sapporo-u.ac.jp/ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
