openSUSE 10.x is more memory intensive than XP. But much less than Windows Vista.
Memory requirement depends on environment. Without X running, 32M is probably adequate. With X running, how much RAM is adequate depends on which desktop you run and how many apps you keep open at once. So to say any OpenSUSE version is more memory intensive than something else is just hogwash. Everyone who uses XFCE seems to think 128M is plenty, while 128M is barely usable in XP. OTOH, 256M can disappear quickly if you use KDE, while XP seems perfectly happy with it. -- "Let your conversation be always full of grace." Colossians 4:6 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg.
