No. You've installed the kernel from the; http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/ so, you've got the mkiss.ko.xz etc,. In my case, I compiled the kernel from 3 src.rpms, by myself. In this case, I got just the mkiss.ko, not the mkiss.ko.xz. This compression was made by openSUSE's kernel maintainer. I don't know why he did so.
