I am still hoping to get the mono debugger project running on my Suse 8.0 Pro setup. I also want to be able to use binaries where possible so I've been trying to get gnome 2.2 built as rpms from source. After getting past gtk+-2.0, and various other underlying packages, I finally ran into the fact that some (not sure how many yet) of the gnome tarballs don't have spec files. examples are libgnomeui and libgnomecanvas. So to help be decide if I really want to spend all the time building/adapting spec files for all of this: Will there be a binary update for gnome 2.2 with developement libraries for Suse 8? Is Gnome 2.2+ part of 8.2? That with the gcc updates will be worth the price IMHO finally, are there specfiles for gnome 2.2 I don't know about or particularly for suse I could get somewhere?
