Carlos,
You may find it worthwhile to look at
which mentions what information nvidia would like to see in a bug report and also gives a link to info about stability problems.
I saw that yesterday, after I had done my testing, too late. They say: «please start the X server with `startx -- -logverbose 5` and run `nvidia-bug-report.sh` after the problem has occurred.» That is a big problem, as some of the times the PC hard crashed, and the rest it was quite unresponsive. Mmm... I'll see if I can try, I don't like risking my data again.
But as I said, there is no problem with SuSE 9.3. The problem is in 10.1
I didn't have any problems with 10.1 with my nvidia card until later on with one of the updates. I think it was the X-server update that has caused the instability. If you had a spare harddrive you could go back to the 10.1 released kernel and software. Don't do updates and see if your problem goes away. Probably an impractical exercise but it sure would be revealing.
