All, How do I "clean" my NTFS partitions via Vista (or whatever) such that I can resize them during a OpenSUSE 11.1 install? == What I tried I have a laptop that came with Vista home edition. I want to resize the NTFS partitions and install OS 11.1 I tried twice, first time I just did a normal Vista reboot to the install DVD. OS 11.1 claimed the NTFS filesystems were not clean and wanted to delete them. I aborted and rebooted into vista and went to the drive properties and initiated chkdsk (or whatever it is called). That actually only flagged the partitions for checking on the next boot, so I did that and after logging in, they were checked. I immediately rebooted back to the install DVD and got the same error condition from OpenSUSE.
