When I had the Multia a few years ago, I used the NT boot loader to boot Linux since the built-in console only knew about NT. Windows can also boot from Windows 9x. Years ago when I ran 9x at home, I had the Windows95 menu setup to boot Linux. In the case of Win9x, you are booting to DOS (even ME) then to Windows.
