Not too long ago there was a thread here on strong (128-bit) encryption and Netscape. The international version of Netscape distributed with SuSE must use only 40-bit session keys. Someone (sorry, I forget who) mentioned an app called Fortify to enhance Netscape's 40-bit routines. I need 128-bit encryption to access a financial site, and I hated the thought of d/l-ing a whole new Netscape dist. So, I tried Fortify 1.2.6 Bottom line: this is a fantastic app. It is simplicity itself to d/l from <A HREF="http://www.fortify.net</A">http://www.fortify.net</A>, untar and install. It modifies the Netscape binary (and makes a backup) to build 128-bit routines (as well as triple-DES) right into Netscape, so the modified binary looks and behaves as if it were the US version. For those looking for a painless enhancement to the international Netscape distributed with SuSE, have a look at Fortify. BTW, I have no connection with the developers, I'm just a satisfied customer.
