IIRC, it came from a change of GTK version. Open "dconf-editor" and go to: GTK-> "Settings"-> "File Chooser" and change "sort-directories-first" to "true". Charles -- "Besides, I think [Slackware] sounds better than 'Microsoft,' don't you?" (By Patrick Volkerding)
