My hp c3180 suddenly will not auto recognise photo quality paper. I've tried all types. It attempts the recognition but flashes the paper out warning light. Normal paper works fine.
Google and linuxprinting.org drew a blank. Can anyone help?
Cheers, Steve.

What happens if you set your media to photo in your cups driver section? If when you get your kdeprinter dialog, you set it to photo paper, does it still reject it?
bye, Lee
Hi.
Yep. It still rejects it. It will only print on normal photocopy paper. Any ideas?
Cheers, Steve.

Steve, My next thought is printer. Have you tried the printer on another machine or OS? If it does the same there, then I would look about replacing the printer.

Hi I have a two box server client nfs setup here at home. Both are 10.1 and it does the same on both. It rejects HP glossy and Kodak glossy photo paper. I just tried it with Epson photo paper and ironically it works fine. I have over 100 sheets of the Kodak and really want to get this sorted. The Epson paper is really expensive in comparison.
