I have an IDE Seagate Travan Tape drive (4G/8G). How do I mount it (e.g., what file system should I enter)?
How about whatever filesystem it has been formatted in? ;-)
I suppose it would be a good idea to put an entry for it in my fstab.
Yes.
I did a quick hardware check using YAST2 and discovered that the device is hdd. Of course, this may not mean much since the hardware specs include my CDROM driver as hdc, while it is entered on fstab as /dev/cdrom.
But invariably there is a link from /dev/cdrom to hdc. So believe that your tape drive is hdd. -- Tony Alfrey tonyalfrey@earthlink.net "I'd Rather Be Sailing"
