I would wait an extra two or three months to get the bugs out, rather than have zillions of replacement files for months. Windows is not Wonderful, but W98SE did a pretty good job. Could we maybe try for something like that? I know that is not in the Linux tradition, but I'd really like to switch to the OS and not have to keep fooling around all the time. I also need a WINE that works, guys, come on! (All right, I haven't tried it lately.) --doug, wa2say At 09:03 01/29/2002 -0500, jfweber@bellsouth.net wrote:

That would match up w/ last years releases where, IIRC, the 7.0 version was released sometime in Feb. However, also relying on my not 100% cafinated brain, there were notices in January to pre - order , or in Germany that the new (7.0) was about to be released.. or something like that. OTH , generally no news at all means everyone is beavering away to get all teh kinks out , and a release will come sooner than most expect ... <g> /snip/
