Not so... I was an advanced dos/windows user, and my first mail list ever was this one (rather, its antecesor at SuSE). Only then had I to deal with lots of email, and somewhat later, lots of spam.
In this day and age, any new user to Suse is already used to dealing with spam...
The accounts I use or have used for this list are the ones pestered by spam. I have other accounts more than 10 years old with virtually no spam. The difference? That they were not used for public mail lists, or registering to commercial sites. I have friends using windows that still do not know what is spam and don't have any specialized software for it. Others do, of course. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
