Hi All,
I have tried ripping some of my DVDs to put them on my NAS and have found a small issue, when I use k9copy or VLC it only rips 40 mins of the film and cuts some scenes out. When I use K3b it crashes with an generic error and no log.
I have already installed libdvdcss2 and this used to work fine a few weeks ago on the same computer (13.2 64-bit)
I have tried 8 different movies all with the same issue from different publishers.
You don't mention which version of openSUSE you are using nor mention which version of k9copy you are using. The author of k9copy stopped developing it a few years ago because he got fed up with trying to keep up with the different distros of Linux and all the mods they were doing to their distros. So, he stopped developing it. k9copy now will not "rip/copy" most recent DVDs and you will have to move across to MS I am afraid if you want a good job done. If you do decide to dual-boot with Windows then send me a private message and I will tell you which is the best s/ware to get (ie, buy) to do what you want. And before some people get too excited, running the MS program in a VM environment will *NOT* work - a real, live, Windows installation is a requirement.
