Right. I'm just used to calling internal memory RAM. Why?
Why not? RAM in internal memory is built up of RAM chips - DRAM or SRAM (or any of the other varieties). Calling a harddisk RAM is just not right in my book. The access only _appears_ to be random, when in truth it is sequential. The in-tray on my desk is also RAM (the access can be very random at times :-), but I don't call it RAM. /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/freetrial - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution.
