[opensuse] 42.3: Packman xpaint 2.10.2-2.1 fails

I used YaST to install xpaint-2.10.1-2.1.x86_64 from the Packman repository, but when I try to run it, I get X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 12 (X_ConfigureWindow) Value in failed request: 0x0 Serial number of failed request: 5895 Current serial number in output stream: 8794 There is no corresponding ticket at https://sourceforge.net/p/sf-xpaint/bugs/?source=navbar and I cannot find a support mailing list.
