Hi, I installed on my new T61p openSuse 10.3. Not exactly "out of the box" but it works.
My R61 does work quite nicely: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_OpenSUSE_10.3_on_a_ThinkPad_R61
1. When wired I can get connected to internet, but when tried wireless - I can't.
Which wireless card does your ThinkPad have installed? And which driver is used? I assume a Intel 4965 and, thus, iwl4965, but check this via "hwinfo --wlan" as root.
