Simon I'm confused...
You have:
New System: 1T ssd (nvme0n1) 3T hdd (hda)
Old System 1T hdd (hda) 2T hdd (hdb)
correct
You copied using dd??
Old System New System ------------ ------------ 1T hdd (hda) -> 1T ssd (nvme0n1) 2T hdd (hdb) -> 3T hdd (hda) correct
Now you want to convert mbr to gpt on which drive? (the 3T drive right?)
Otherwise there is no need to convert.
i was thinking to convert both drives. but you are correct, for the ssd there is not a MUST, i was thinking to be more modern and maybe more save for data loss. simoN -- www.becherer.de
