I've had this happen before. The problem is that I don't remember what the heck I did to get around the situation.
Here's the poop: I have had an Abit motherboard with built in raid. I decided, after 2 years, to use the raid 1 feature. I setup the existing drive and the new drive. Both came on and everything looked like it worked until I booted BEFORE doing the raid. First, I got a kernel panic. Now, I did the same thing at my office and had an expert (and former subscriber Anders Johannson) help me fix everything. Everything consisting of not only the kernel panic, but setting up grub to see the correct drives and setting up my fstab. Well, I can't get ahold of the guy and would like to setup my raid1.
Does anyone know the steps I would take to get this working? I'm using 9.0. Don't say, reinstall. I just got it where I like it. I know I'm supposed to change stuff in my fstab, grub, and some other stuff, but I'm not sure what.
Thanks for any help!
Tom
I thought I'd post this again. I usually don't get too many answers at night...California time. Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
