Shalom,
i've had this also bevore installing 8.0 so maybe it is a bug to kwintv itself. but now its even more often, let me say allways today.
Same thing happened to me. Do this:
/bin/chmod 4755 /opt/kde2/bin/kv4lsetup
Samething also happend to me... do this (Qutoed from someone on this list) Either that, or the SuSE people edit the file /etc/permissions.<level> where <level> is easy, secure or paranoid, depending on which setting you're using. It has the lines /opt/kde3/bin/kv4lsetup root.video 2755 /opt/kde2/bin/kv4lsetup root.video 2755 /usr/bin/kv4lsetup root.video 2755 Change them to 4755. then run SuSEconfig as root. if you do the solution #1, then the next time you change something in Yast2, you need to redo the 'chmod'. the solution #2 has permanent effect.
