I have an HP scanner (ScanJet IIc) which shows up in my boot log as follows: <4> Vendor: HP Model: C1750A Rev: 3125 <4> Type: Processor ANSI SCSI revision: 01 <4>Detected scsi generic sgc at scsi0, channel 0, id 3, lun 0 /etc/sane.d/hp.conf contains: csi HP /dev/sg2 (but I also tried sg0, sg1, sg3 and sg4; all /dev/sg* are crwxrwxrwx.
