Make sure you have run 'pnpdump > isapnp.conf' (I think it is) and edited it to have just one of each option active and activated all relevant parts -- plus added the 0xA20 and 0xE20 IO's under the WaveTable caption. Then, go to the AWE32 driver homepage at : <A HREF="http://bahamut.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwai/midi.html"><A HREF="http://bahamut.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwai/midi.html</A">http://bahamut.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwai/midi.html</A</A>> You will need at least the sfxload package. Then you'll need to load a soundfont (follow the documentation) Once you've loaded a soundfont, you should be able to get MIDI (only works with OSSFree/OSS for now. ALSA will hopefully soon have support as well).. Hint hint: Couldn't we please have these AWE-utilities included in the SuSE distro, preferably including setup-scripts... It would help a LOT of people. Query: Is any work being done by anyone on a SB Live! driver? We could really use one!....
