Hi! Bart Symons wrote:
I have upgraded to KDE 2.2.2 using the official SuSE rpms for SuSE 7.1.
I have 4 new "bugs": 1- as root konqueror takes 10-15 seconds to respond to any user input (mouse
keyboard)
never tried as root
2- general behaviour of konqueror for normal users is like Netscape 4.x: slow reactions (although not as bad as for root) and the occasional freeze
ACK, I had the same experiance, extrem slow reaction, even worse speed that Netscape.. Point 3 and 4 I did not take care...
KDE 2.2.1 worked like a charm. KDE 2.2.2 is definitely no improvement (at least not in my case).
There was one improvement: konsole middle-mouse-button paste works again :-)
Anyone else with this sort of problems? How can I get rid of them?
I suggest you to install KDE3 Beta1 its MUCH faster, and stable as 2.2.2 is SuSE is providing the Beta1 rpms, just choose a mirror near you. HTH, rgds Luc
