[SLE] Byte code interpreter in 10.0?

I have read that the byte code interpreter has been turned on in SUSE 10.1. That is why the fonts look so good. But I can't verify this statement. If it's on in 10.1, has it also been turned on in 10.0? I can't find the answer in the SUSE list archives or on Google.
