I tested some more. I can get the printer to print when I install it via Cups, using lpd. I will do more tests tomorrow.
Print quality and speed are good.
I have to *manually* supply ip for my hp officejet pro 8620 on hplip and it work wonderfully. Previous color laserjet pro also required manually providing ip, whereas cups find both w/o help. Just check router for ip. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
