Unable to open .pdf files in mozilla 0.9.8

Mozilla used to open attached .pdf files using Ghostview [SuSE 8.0] but now instead it insists on saving them [God knows where] and returning me to the hotmail logon screen. Sorry I used to be a Windows user but 98SE put an end to that.I get stuck in a continuous loop. Have other users had this problem. I can open the attached .pdf file in IE and Netscape.
