Hello!
PLEASE help this M$ synner! I'm trapped in M$ mail and explorer hell untill one of you GOOD people tell me where I'm going wrong! ... script I get the errors listed in the log file. I'm betting it's the
"^M" in
log file that is causing the problem. But as you can see in my pppchat there is no "^M". ...
I think what happens is that the "^M" (which means "LF/CR") is sent after each "AT" command, and that the new modem reacts differently on these than the old one did.
So, you can try inserting a ";" at the end of the command, which should prevent the "^M" from being sent. Maybe this helps (and if not, don't flame me, i'm a "synner", too, 'cause of... "WinModem", you know what I mean...)
Another "guess" : Do you get the "OK" expected, or is the answer "Chat now working" instead ??? <include standard disclaimer here>
