I am moving to dynamic DNS updates for our IPv6 desktops, overall no problems, but somehow not all desktops cause a DNS update when they receive an IPv6 address. With Leap421 and 422 it works fine, when I do e.g. "ifdown ethX && ifup ethX", I see: Sep 26 14:20:25 dresden dhcpd: if linux-asdf.local.net. IN TXT "02a51a7c9422e02aee9eb9b670aae20cc1" rrset exists and linux-asdf.local.net. IN AAAA 2001:db8:4c68:1:ff99::34 rrset exists delete linux-asdf.local.net. With desktops running openSUSE 13.1 (isc dhcp client), the client end works fine, but I don't get DNS updated. It seems as if something in the client request can control the dynamic DNS update? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.8°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
