Yes I followed those instructions including the mk_initrd . But I got messed up on running lilo. I really did not know what I am supposed to be doing there. I think this solved everything for me.
The first time i did it, I missed out the last step, mk_initrd and of course it didnt work.

My Suse 7.0 installs great with yast2 until my first or second use of the mouse and then I have no keyboard and no mouse.. they are both USB. Sax2 did not help.
Have found your Jan 10 msg where you say you have yours working but Ican't figure outhow you did it. I sure would appreciate some info. This is my first venture into Suse. The USB subject never came with Red Hat.
