I downloaded libc.so.5.4.44 and moved it to /lib. I then tried to link it to libc.so.5 and found that I could not overwrite the existing link. Well, I blew away the libc.so.5. DON'T DO THAT! None of my basic shell commands would work. I still had Netscape running so I went in and saved the libc.so,5.4.44 as libc.so.5. I started breathing again. It works, but it is not a sim link. How would I go about doing this correctly?
