Hmm. Once in a while, for personal communication, HTML or RT is just fine, so long as both parties have negotiated a common ground before the mail is sent, recieved, and forwarded to /dev/null.
I don't think that it should be used extensivly.. But if a change of font is required and the recieving party can handle it, why not use it?
