The problem is that in Linux (as host) the graphics on his laptop behaves badly, and as a side effect, it also behaves badly in the Windows guest. His idea is to reverse the installs; to have a Windows host, which would behave perfectly, and then use Linux as a guest which then at least performs. Maybe even with virtualized 3D acceleration.
