To be brief, I have the card working as displayed with cat /prov/net/dev . It shows eth0; however during bootup, I get a single "No SIOAFFADDER" (spelling?)
It is almost as if the kernel tries to find the card twice?
So, which of the make menuconfig are to be selected for a PCI NE2000 clone such as the Realtek 8029?
It's a minor problem, but error messages irritate me, ---a symptom many of you probably experience.

I had my Realtek 8029 working under 2.0.35 and many other kernels. In 2.0.35 I chose NE2000 PCI leaving everything else out. I am not sure about "No SIOAFFADDER" error... Maybe you compiled support for a different card as well and now it reports an error while trying access the non-existent card???? alexm - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
