I expect there is a pretty simple solution to this one. I went to konsole and using the command line I added a directory (mkdir) and copied some files into it. However, then in dolphin, I could not read the new directory. It would not show up.
So I did what every other newb like me would do and logged out of kde and then logged back in, and there then it showed up in the file manager dolphin.
I know I should not have to log out and log back in, but I don't know how to get it get dolphin to pick up the new directory.
Can someone tell me what the right procedure is, if it is in a konsole or in some other way, to have dolphin recognize the new directory?
On Dolphin's menu, [View] -> [Reload]. Hope this helps.
