The beep is here: https://www.daniel-bauer.com/div/bib.mp4 (begins a 8 seconds, low sound from phone recording, but clear; pushig the power button 8 seconds nothing happens, then come(s) the beep(s), after a second another short beep and then it boots).
My questions: - Can anyone decrypt those mce messages?
I'll offer a guess - I see three errors, one corrected, two uncorrected, although they are reported in different "banks". I have to think that is a memory problem. The beeping you are hearing is almost certainly the BIOS' way of communicating that.
- Is is clear that it is a hardware error or could it be a software thing?
With Machine Checks, it is a hardware issue. I guess I am too late and you have already returned the device, but I would have tried another memory stick or another configuration. Much like what Felix suggested too. Also, your mini PC is most likely made by Xuzhou Venoen, the same one is available under different names - Fanpeec, Weidian etc. Looking at some of the other names, they say max 16Gb memory per slot. It is really poor show that there is no manual with your PC. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (26.6°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes
