Just a quick question - the SUSE 10.0 package I got was quite a bit thinner as previous ones, and had no printed manuals. Is this the new way they're doing it everywhere, or just a local packaging? I'm thinking of just ordering 10.1 from overseas, if I can get the package with printed manuals.
Sadly (my personal view and not held by some others) this is the way Novell intend to deliver SuSE from now on. Again, personal opinion, but I think it is a backward step.
All 10.0 boxes that I have ssen came with a printed manual. True: the box is smaller than it used to be and it has only one instead of two printed manuals (the other one is available as PDF and HTML). Also true: the box is considerably cheaper than it used to be. If Hans had no manual in his box then I wonder if that was an original version ... Hans: where did you buy it and how much did it cost?
