First of all, Happy New Year for everyone on the list. Second, my question: I have an 20" 1600x1200 resolution TFT monitor connected to my computer. I have openSUSE 11.2 and use nvidia binary driver, compiled from/by the nvidia binary installer (not the opensuse version). When I boot the system openSUSE boots nicely in console. The boot resolution is set to 1024x768 in 16 bit mode (by VGA= kernel boot option). X windows starts without problem as well in 1600x1200 24 bit mode. But when I try to change to terminal mode (ctrl+alt+F1) the monitor gives "out of frequency" message and does not display the terminal stuff. The question is why it is like that, and how I could fix it? Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
