I need to set up an e-mail server, and this is for use with QA to test in-house software. The mail server is not to actually send mail, but be a dead end. (all mail accounts sending e-mail wont get errors, but nothing will leave the box)
I have the basic of opensuse 10.3 with mail options with Postfix running. Also webmin to help administer the box.
I have never configured a mail server for something like this, and I don;'t know enough about this to do it on my own here. Any help would be much appreciated!
No need to. Postfix has some test programs, one of which is smtp-sink(1) DESCRIPTION smtp-sink listens on the named host (or address) and port. It takes SMTP messages from the network and throws them away. The purpose is to measure client performance, not protocol compliance. Theo -- Theo v.
